Ariel: A Little Mermaid's Tale

Ariel, the younger daughter of King Triton, is a curious and adventurous mermaid. She's known for her love of all things human, especially music and the handsome Prince Eric. Ariel's fascination leads her to make a deal with the sea witch Ursula, trading her voice for legs, hoping to pursue her love for Eric.

Join Ariel on her exciting journey as she navigates her new world on the shore and learns what it truly means to find her voice and her place in the world.

Coloring Ariel

Start by coloring Ariel herself. Is she wearing her signature red hair? Have you given her shimmering mermaid tail a beautiful shade of blue or green? Don't forget to add some details to her seashell bra and elaborately styled hair.

Take cues from the original film or let your imagination run wild. Maybe Ariel's hair is a vibrant purple, or her tail isn't any typical mermaid shade but a stunning gradient of blues and pinks. The magic of coloring is that you can make Ariel your very own!

Coloring Ariel's Underwater World

Ariel's world is a vibrant and diverse marine ecosystem. From the spacious Atlantic Palace to the bustling coral reefs, there's plenty to color and explore. Start with the king's palace, giving it an opulent golden glow or a more subtle, sandy hue. Then, move on to the reefs, where you can use a variety of bright colors to bring the ocean's wildlife to life.

Don't forget the tricky sea creatures that help Ariel on her journey. Flounder, Ariel's best friend, is a friendly fish with a red-orange body and yellow fins. Then there's Sebastian, the wise and talking crab, who's dressed in a smart, lavender uniform. Lastly, there's Scuttle, the hyperbolic seagull with his distinctive white and gray plumage.

Ariel's Extraordinary Friendships

Ariel's story is more than a love story; it's a tale of friendship and loyalty, too. Throughout her adventure, Ariel makes lasting friendships with humans and sea creatures alike.

As you color Ariel's world, consider the friendships she's forged. Perhaps you'll color Flounder a bright, sunny yellow to symbolize his cheerful nature. Or maybe Sebastian's uniform will be a bold, royal purple to represent his wisdom and leadership.

Coloring Human World Elements

Once Ariel trades her voice for legs, she finds herself in Prince Eric's world. Color the exterior of Prince Eric's palace, garnishing it with elegant ivory and golden accents. Then, move on to the interiors, adding warm, inviting hues to the Prince's library or adding soft, soothing tones to Ariel's makeshift room in the palace.

As you color the human world, consider the contrast between Ariel's underwater home and her new land-dwelling life. How can the colors of the human world reflect Ariel's new experiences and learnings?

As you complete your princess color page, take a moment to admire your masterpiece. Each crayon stroke and color choice tells a story, just like Ariel's journey. This activity is more than just coloring - it's a creative outlet, a learning experience, and a fun way to connect with a beloved character. Happy coloring, and may your adventures be as magical as Ariel's!
