Meet the Heelers: Bluey and Bandit's Family

The Heelers are a warm, loving family composed of fivecharacters – Bluey, her younger sister additional content, their mother and father, and their non-Blue Heeler friend, Chloe.

Bluey, the titular character, is a curious and adventurous six-year-old Blue Heeler whose boundless imagination fuels the majority of the show's storylines. Her younger sister,Bingo, is a feisty and energetic four-year-old who often plays a crucial role in her older sister's adventures. Together, Bluey and Bingo form an inseparable duo, learning valuable life lessons through play and imagination.

The Parents:Chloe

Chloe, often referred to as Chloe Heeler, is Bandit's human friend and Chloe's love interest. Chloe's Australian accent and love for playing dress-ups make her a unique and memorable addition to the Blue family. The show doesn't specify Chloe's last name, which can add to viewer intrigue and speculation.

One notable aspect of Chloe's character is her role as a doting single parent. Her life as a single mum, though not specifically stated, is subtly illustrated through her interactions with her daughter, Chloe. This representation adds a layer of diversity to the show and provides an opportunity for young viewers to see families of different compositions.

The Heeler extended family

The Heelers also have an extended family, including Bluey's and Bandit's parents, grandparents, and aunt and uncle. Though they appear less frequently than the core family, they each play a significant role in Bluey's development and adventures. For example, Bluey's grandfather, Rattles, is a wise and nurturing figure who often shares valuable life lessons with his granddaughter.

Bluey's extended family also includes her aunt, Chloe, who is a skilled and independent individual. Chloe's influence on Bluey can be seen in various episodes, as she encourages Bluey to explore her independence and assert her individuality. This aspect of Chloe's character further enriches the show's portrayal of strong, independent women.

Bluey's family tree can be traced back to her great-grandparents (which are not explored in the show), with her grandparents - Rattles and Chloe - being the first generation we meet. Rattles and Chloe have two children, Bandit and Chloe, who are Bluey and Bingo's parents. Additionally, Chloe has a daughter, Chloe, who is Chloe's only child and a close friend of Bluey and Bingo.
