About Nezuko Kamado

Nezuko, initially a gentle and talented daughter, turns into a demon after being attacked by her father, Muzan Kibutsuji. Her brother Tanjiro, driven by love and vengeance, decides to become a Demon Slayer to find a cure for Nezuko and avenge their family. Despite her transformation, Nezuko retains some of her human emotions and memories, making her a complex and captivating character.

As a demon, Nezuko is incredibly strong, with heightened senses and abilities. However, she doesn't feed on humans and can control her bloodlust with the help of the Breathing Techniques her brother teaches her. This unique trait makes her a powerful ally in Tanjiro's mission to defeat Muzan and destroy his demon army.

Nezuko's Appearance

Nezuko's human appearance is that of a young teenager with long, lusterless black hair, once again regained when she donned the headband. She has fair skin, round, sometimes hollow eyes with heavy eyelids, and a huge, widened mouthbaring her elongated canines. She usually wears her older brother's han-eri collar and his tunic, tied with a large, blue obi. Her most striking features are her mummified appearance and her need for constant sleep.

In her demon form, Nezuko's appearance is more gangly and grotesque, with black, matted hair, sharp canines, and enlarged eyes. She retains a generally human form but grows several additional digits, loses most of her skin and gains ridged, textured flesh, and sports large, feline-esque ears. Despite her fearsome appearance, Nezuko's kindness and love for her brother shine through in her eyes.

Nezuko's Personality

Despite being a demon, Nezuko retains her humane thinking and feelings, demonstrated by her love for her brother Tanjiro. She is incredibly loyal and nurturing, shown when she protected her sleeping brother from being attacked by a pack of demons. Her love for her brother is the driving force behind her desire to be cured and regain her humanity.

In her demon form, Nezuko's increased aggression is mitigated by her desire not to harm humans. She often enters a trance-like state when she sleeps, which helps control her impulses and prevents her from causing harm. Nezuko's unique condition and personality have made her a fan-favorite character, with many admirers drawn to her strength, resilience, and enduring love.
