Monster High, introduced in 2010 by Mattel, quickly became a pop culture phenomenon. Inspired by classic monster movies, this fashion doll line featured revamped versions of iconic monsters like Draculaura, Frankie Stein, and Clawdeen Wolf. With its unique backstories, compelling narratives, and diverse character design, Monster High captured the hearts of both children and adults alike.

The Decline of Monster High

After a decade of success, Mattel announced the discontinuation of Monster High in 2018, much to the dismay of its dedicated fanbase. The decision was part of Mattel's strategic shift to focus on core brands like Barbie and Ever After High. However, this didn't mean the end of the Monster High story...

Mattel offloaded the Monster High intellectual property to the Canadian entertainment company,,eOne, in 2019. With this move, fans hoped for a Monster High comeback, and their wishes were soon answered.

Monster High: A New Chapter Begins

In 2020, Mattel and eOne collaborated to relaunch Monster High as a fresh, evolved brand. The new line, aptly named "Monster High: To Twist Again," introduced visually upgraded dolls with more articulation and enhanced playability. The dolls also came with new webisodes and digital content, breathing new life into the franchise.

The relaunch emphasized inclusivity, diversity, and representation, with additional characters like a wheelchair-user, a plus-size doll, and non-binary characters. This move catered to the ever-growing demand for diverse and inclusive toys, further cementing Monster High's relevance in the market.

As of now, Monster High is far from discontinued. The brand continues to release new dolls, and the Monster High: To Twist Again webseries keeps fans engaged with its compelling storytelling.
