In this story, the disciples attempt to prevent parents from bringing their children to Jesus, believing such encounters lack importance. However, Jesus rebukes them, asserting, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." He then lays his hands on the children and prays for them, emphasizing their worth and importance.
