The 'Expand Your Head' coloring book is filled with intricate and captivating illustrations that fans will recognize from the band's albums and merchandise. This includes artwork from iconic records like 'Flying Microtonal Banjo', 'Polygondwanaland', and 'K.G.'.

These illustrations are not merely reproduced; they've been reimagined and simplified for coloring, making them accessible and engaging for both adult fans and young music lovers.

The Art of King Gizzard

Beyond being a fun activity, the 'Expand Your Head' coloring book sheds light on the visual artistry behind King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. The band is known not just for their experimental music but also for their distinctive visual style.

Co-founder and lead guitarist Stu Mackenzie has said, "We give a lot of thought to the visual side of the band... The images on the album covers should kind of tell the story of the music." The coloring book serves as a window into this story-telling process.

Storytelling Through Color

Just like the band's music, which often tells fantastical stories, the coloring book encourages its own form of storytelling. By choosing certain colors and patterns, one can create a unique narrative within the illustration.
