New Legendary Pokémon: The Ultimate List

Welcome, Pokémon trainers! The world of pocket monsters continues to expand with each new generation, and the latest set is no exception. With the release of the Crown Tundra DLC, the list of legendary Pokémon has grown yet again, bringing new challenges and mysteries to unravel. Today, we're diving into the world of these powerful creatures, exploring their lore, abilities, and how they fit into the ever-evolving universe of Pokémon.

Before we delve into the new legends, let's briefly recap the previously released legendaries from the Sword and Shield era. The Crown of the Galar region introduced us to Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus, and Calyrex, each with their unique powers and roles in the region's history. Now, let's meet their counterparts and fellow legendary Pokémon from the Crown Tundra.

Legends of the Crown Tundra

The Crown Tundra DLC introduces a new area filled with powerful Pokémon, including legendary creatures. These legends are deeply connected to the region's ancient civilizations and their mythologies.

With exploration comes discovery, and the Crown Tundra is no exception. Here, we'll encounter a new trio of legendary Pokémon known as the Regieleki, Regidrago, and Regirock. These ancient beings are said to have shaped the world in their image, with Regieleki bringing forth thunder, Regidrago summoning dragons, and Regirock building mountains.

Regieleki & Regidrago

Regieleki and Regidrago are a pair of electric and dragon-type legendary Pokémon, respectively. Both possess immense power, with Regieleki boasting the highest Special Attack stat in the Galar region, while Regidrago has the highest Attack stat. Their abilities, Motors and Tight, grant immunity to electric and dragon-type moves, respectively, making them formidable battlers.

Regieleki and Regidrago are said to have been sealed away due to their destructive power. In the Crown Tundra, trainers will have the opportunity to face and possibly catch these mighty beasts, adding them to their collection. Keep in mind, however, that both Pokémon have high base stats and require either a Master Ball or extreme luck to catch.

Regirock

Regirock, along with Regieleki and Regidrago, is part of the new generation three legendary trio. This ground-type Pokémon is said to have formed the mountains of the Crown Tundra. Its powerful arms can topple even the toughest of obstacles, earning it the nickname "Guardian of the Seal."

Regirock possesses a unique ability called Clear Body, which prevents its stats from being lowered by moves or abilities. This makes it an excellent powerhouse in battles, especially in the competitive scene. Trainers will also find Regirock in the Crown Tundra, awaiting those who seek to challenge and capture it.

Glaive Pokémon

The Glaive Pokémon are a trio of legendary creatures said to have brought civilization to the Crown Tundra. They are Calyrex's companions, appearing in three different forms - Ice Rider Calyrex, Shadow Rider Calyrex, and Glacial Rider Calyrex. Each form grants its rider access to unique abilities and climates.

Unlike the previous trio, the Glaive Pokémon cannot be caught in the traditional sense. Instead, players must solve the mysteries of the Crown Tundra to be deemed worthy of their partnership. This involves solving riddles, defeating powerful trainers, and uncovering the secrets of the ancient civilizations that once called this icy land home.

Calyrex

Calyrex is the leader of the Glaive Pokémon, a pure psychic-type Pokémon with a unique ability called As One. This ability allows Calyrex to switch places with one of its Glaive Pokémon companions, gaining access to their abilities and types. Calyrex is a fan favorite, thanks to its elegant design and fascinating lore.

In battle, Calyrex's psychic-type moves and ability make it a formidable force. When paired with a Glaive Pokémon, it can become even more powerful, gaining access to abilities like Ice Surge, Ice Face, or Libra. Trainers who wish to add this enigmatic creature to their roster must first complete the Crown Tundra storyline and prove their worth to Calyrex.

With the release of the Crown Tundra DLC, the world of Pokémon has grown even more expansive, filled with new mysteries and powerful legendary creatures to uncover and battle. From the destructive power of Regieleki and Regidrago to the ancient wisdom of Calyrex, there's no shortage of incredible Pokémon to discover and add to your collection.
