The first season introduced us to 140 diverse Shopkins, each with its unique design and personality. These characters, inspired by various items found in shops, whet our appetites for collecting and fostering imaginative play. As we delve into season 1, join us in discovering the delightful pictures that bring these characters to life.

Core Shopkins: The Everyday Heroes

At the heart of season 1 are the Core Shopkins, your everyday collectibles that started the craze. These figures represent common items found in shops, setting the stage for a sprawling universe of characters in subsequent seasons.

Some iconic pieces from this category include Apple Toast, a smiling apple-shaped toaster, and Donut Tube, a dressed-up doughnut on a roll. Their vibrant pictures showcase the creative potential these everyday objects hold.

Essentials Series

The Essentials Series focuses on basic grocery items with a twist. Among the 12 characters in this series, you'll find Egg والز, an egg with a witty smile, and Straw-bearian, a mythological-styled strawberry. Their playful pictures add a touch of humor to your collection.

Each Essentials Series Shopkin comes with a unique " formule" (French for "formula"), representing a fun fact or riddle connected to the character. For instance, Straw-bearian's formule is "What fruit grows on a shrubble instead of a tree?"

Limited Edition: Rare Vignettes

Season 1 also introduced Limited Edition figures, adding rarity and excitement to the collection. These figures, often attached to exclusive Shopkins stands or vignettes, feature enchanting pictures that transport you to magical realms.

One such example isinitial Coconarella, a coconut mermaid perched on a seashell throne. Her picture evokes the whimsy and wonder of undersea adventures, making her a captivating addition to any collection.

Shopkins SHP Cards: Bringing Characters to Life

Shopkins season 1 also introduced SHP cards, collectible cards featuring shoppies—female Shopkins—posed in diverse, engaging pictures. These cards served as action figures, allowing children to play out exciting scenes and spark their creativity.

Each SHP card has a unique number and rarity level, encouraging collectors to chase after the most coveted and elusive pieces. The card also includes a "Shopkin Quiz" to test one's Shopkins knowledge.

SHP Card Series 1 & 2

The first two SHP card series introduced shoppies based on everyday items, just like the Core Shopkins. However, these cards featured dynamic poses and vibrant pictures that showcased the characters' personalities.

For instance, SHP001 Apple Bloom, the first card in Series 1, pictures a cheerful apple with a cartoony grin, leaning on a basket of fruit. Conversely, SHP012 Pepper Mint, from Series 2, depicts a mint leaves emoticon, thoughtfully resting her chin on her hand, lost in deep thought.

Ultimate Shopkin: A Timeless Treasure

To conclude our journey through season 1, let's not forget the ultimate treasure: the Ultimate Shopkin. Housed in a glitzy, pink vault, this mysterious figure is numerically superior and sure to be a showstopper in any collection.

Sadly, its picture remains a closely guarded secret, adding to its allure and fueling collectors' eager anticipation. Unveiled at the 2014 New York Toy Fair, this enigmatic figure launched a thousand quests to become a proud Shopkins season 1 owner.

As we bid adieu to season 1, remember the joy and wonder it brought to the world. Shopkins' influence continues to grow, and with each new release, we find fresh excitement and inspiration in the enchanting pictures of these beloved characters.
