Popular Pokémon Starters

Choosing a favorite Pokémon starter is like picking your favorite child – it's almost impossible! Each one brings something unique to the table. Here, we've highlighted four iconic starters, but remember, there are many more waiting for you in our extensive collection.

So, whether you're a fan of fiery dragons, aquatic turtles, or wisdom-filled plants, we've got you covered!

Charmander & Charizard

The fiery Charmander is always a popular choice among fans. This tiny dragon starts as a small, red lizard with a perpetually burning tail and grows into the fearsome Charizard, a fearsome dragon ready to incinerate its foes. Available in many of our coloring pages, Charmander and its evolutions are not to be missed!

Fun fact: Charizard, also known as Lizardon in Japan, was the first Pokémon to have a dialectal name that was not a direct translation, making it internationally popular!

Squirtle & Blastoise

For those who prefer water over fire, the shelled Squirtle is the perfect starter. This aquatic turtle starts as a small, blue and green creature and evolves into the imposing Blastoise, whose shell holds a powerful water cannon capable of destroying buildings. Our Squirtle coloring pages are perfect for bringing out your water-themed art skills!

Pro tip: Squirtle has the highest defense rating of all the non-legging starter Pokémon, making it a great choice for gameplay!

Bulbasaur & Venusaur

Lovers of flora and fauna will adore Bulbasaur. This unique combination of a seed-based plant and a spiked lizard starts out relatively small. However, with evolution, it grows into the massive, grass-type behemoth, Venusaur. Known for its enormous, leafy body and toxic spikes, Venusaur is a sight to behold – and a breeze to color!

Another fun fact: Bulbasaur is the only starter from its generation who can learn the move "Tackle" by leveling up, rather than by HM/TM or breeding, making it a unique addition to any team!

Piplup & Empoleon

A more recent favorite, the plucky Piplup is a must-have for fans of the Sinnoh region. Growing from a small, blue penguin into the regal Empoleon, this one is all about elegance and power. Empoleon's design is inspired by the royalty of France, making it a unique addition to your collection of Pokémon starter coloring pages!

Interesting tidbit: Piplup's name is a combination of the words "pip" and "chub," reflecting its chubby, newborn appearance!

With such a variety of amazing Pokémon starters to choose from, it's easy to see why our coloring pages are such a hit. Whether you're a seasoned Pokémon trainer or just starting your artistic journey, our collection is the perfect way to spend time with these lovable creatures.

So go ahead, grab your colored pencils, markers, or paints, and let your creativity run wild! We can't wait to see what amazing masterpieces you'll come up with. Happy coloring, and remember – catching 'em all isn't just for the games – it's for your art collection, too!
