Themes and Verses of Revelation 21

The Revelation 21 coloring page is brimming with powerful imagery that reflects the hope and promise found in the biblical chapter. The page might include scenes from the description of the New Jerusalem, a city adorned as a bride for her husband (Revelation 21:2, 9-11). This vivid imagery offers a profound message of restoration, beauty, and forgiveness.

Another key verse often depicted is Revelation 21:5, where God says, "Behold, I am making all things new." This QR code-friendly passage is a beacon of hope, reminding us that even in the midst of chaos, God is at work, creating something new and beautiful. Coloring these scenes invites us to meditate on these verses and embrace their timeless messages.

Creating a Peaceful Sanctuary: The New Jerusalem

When coloring the New Jerusalem scene, take a moment to imagine the beauty and peace it represents. The walls are described as jasper, the city sparkling with gold, and the streets paved with transparent crystal (Revelation 21:10-11). As you color, reflect on the concept of a perfect, eternal sanctuary where God dwells with His people.

This scene is a beautiful reminder of the peace and unity that awaits us in God's presence. Consider how you can cultivate a sense of this peaceful sanctuary in your daily life, perhaps through prayer, worship, or personal time with God.

Lamenting the Old, Embracing the New

The Revelation 21:5 verse is a powerful reminder of God's ongoing work in our lives. As you color the scene depicting the passage, think about the things God is making new in your life—maybe a situation that once caused pain, now filled with hope and restoration.

Take a moment to journal about these "new things" God is working on. It's a great way to acknowledge God's goodness and steps of progress in your life, no matter how small. It's also a fantastic opportunity to pray for areas where you'd still like to see transformation happen.

Consider setting aside dedicated family prayer and coloring times. As you color, discuss the verses, share thoughts, and pray together. It's an excellent opportunity to marinate in God's word as a family and grow together in faith.
