Printing Your Coloring Pages

Once you've found the perfect Rainbow Friends printable, it's time to bring it to life! Here are some tips for printing:

1. **Choose the Right Paper**: Use a standard printer paper for most designs. However, if the image is intricate, consider using a heavier stock paper for better results.

Printer Settings

2. **Adjust Scale**: Ensure the printable fits your paper size by adjusting the scale in your printer settings. Aim for a 1:1 ratio to maintain the image's quality and proportions.

3. **Select the Right Mode**: Choose the "Actual size" or "100%" setting to print the image without scaling it to fit the page.

Color Mode

4. **Use Grayscale for Better Results**: Although printing in color might be tempting, using grayscale will produce more vibrant colors once you start coloring. This is because the printable will use less ink, allowing you to use brighter colored pencils or markers.

5. **Test Print**: Before printing the entire page, perform a test print on a separate sheet of paper to ensure the image is correctly sized and looks as expected.

Coloring Your Rainbow Friends Printables

Now that your printable coloring pages are ready, let's discuss some tips to help you bring your favorite Rainbow Friends to life with your chosen medium – be it colored pencils, markers, or crayons:

COLORING TECHNIQUES

1. **Light to Dark Shading**: Start with lighter colors and gradually build up to darker shades to create depth and dimension in your artwork.

2. **Layer Colors**: Layering colors is a great way to create various shades and gradations. Start with a light color, then add a darker color on top, allowing the base color to show through in some places.

CHOOSING A COLOR SCHEME

3. **Stick to the Basics**: While it's fun to experiment with different colors, trying to match your Rainbow Friends' original appearance can make your artwork more visually appealing. Use colorful but complementary shades to bring balance to your artwork.

4. **Consider the Background**: If the printable has a background, consider using it as an opportunity to practice blending and create depth in your artwork. Choose colors that complement your Rainbow Friends and create harmony with the overall piece.
