The Summer Reading Challenge, run by The Reading Agency and libraries across the UK, encourages children to read six books during the summer holidays. It's an engaging way to keep children's literacy skills developing while they're enjoying their break from school. This year's challenge, in conjunction with the Greenaway Medal, celebrates the magical world of children's illustration, making the 2024 colouring sheets an integral part of the fun.

Exploring the 2024 Colour Palette

Before we delve into the exciting activities and benefits of the Summer Reading Challenge colouring sheets, let's first explore the vibrant 2024 colour palette. Inspired by the Greenaway Medal's commitment to celebrating illustration, this year's colours reflect the richness and diversity of children's literature. From the lush greens of enchanted forests to the deepest blues of outer space, the 2024 palette is designed to spark creativity and imagination.

Each colour in the 2024 palette has been carefully chosen to represent a different aspect of the storytelling experience.
