Fun Fact: The official Texas Tech red, often referred to as 'Scarlet,' is unique to the university. It's a specific shade that serves as a visual identifier for the Red Raiders, setting the team apart on the field and in the hearts of fans.

The Silhouette and Double T

The Texas Tech logo's silhouette is a symbolic nod to the university's athletic heritage. It originally featured a buffalo, a symbol of strength and power. In 1990, to align with the university's campaign to 'Raise Expectations,' the buffalo was replaced with the bold, angular 'Double T.'

The 'Double T' isn't just a stylish symbol; it stands for the unity and dedication of the Texas Tech family. It's a powerful reminder of the shared commitment to excellence and the Red Raider spirit that binds the community together.
